Laurie Sanford is a writer of historical Christian fiction. Her debut novel, November Rain, chronicles the life of a free-spirited woman struggling to conform to upper-class life on a cotton plantation in antebellum North Carolina. The series has two subsequent novels: Moon Over Blazing Star Field (January, 2014) and Midnight Road to Heaven (summer, 2014).

Laurie attended Pacific Union College in the Napa Valley, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Religion. She went on to hold a variety of positions, including Chaplain and Religion Teacher at several Christian high schools, and Behavior Therapist for children with autism and other developmental disorders.

A native of Northern California, Laurie enjoys history, traveling, exploring nature, playing guitar, studying genealogy, reading a good book, worshiping her Creator, and spending time with loved ones. She has journeyed throughout much of the United States and Europe, and hopes to eventually wander the whole globe!
